A calendar of Events for the D.C. area (this changes often, so please check back).

Various activist groups plan activities in DC the week before the mass A.N.S.W.E.R. march:

How do I get started?

1. You, your family members and friends can request meetings and lobby your Congressional elected officials by calling the Congressional switchboard at 202-224-3121. Ask them to show leadership by sponsoring or voicing public support for House Resolution 333, which includes articles for Impeachment of Vice President Richard Cheney. Details and supporting documents showing how and where the Alleged Impeachable offenses were carried out can be obtained on Congressman Kucinich's website.

2. Sign online, distribute via email and gather hardcopy petitions:
Alexandria Advocates Alliance
National Cheney Impeachment Poll

3. Get involved locally with an organization. To become involved with ours, please email me. If you aren't in Northern Virginia, here are just a few of the many fine organizations working for Peace and Impeachment - they have all have local chapters in the larger cities:
A.N.S.W.E.R.
Code Pink
Progressive Democrats of America
Veterans for Peace
United for Peace and Justice
World Can't Wait
. . . and there are many, many more.
Locally we sell buttons and give out yard signs for the Impeachment Movement. In the DC area, the Washington Area Impeachment Fund provides signs, buttons and bumperstickers for activists to disperse and uses the Meetup Groups to organize. DC Meetup, Arlington and Northern VA Meetups, Maryland Meetup. Sale of the buttons for $1 provides enough profit to give out yard signs to other like-minded individuals.

4. Make, distribute, and wear orange ribbon on lapel or pocket to show support. Polls show 54-40 in favor of Impeachment for Cheney. This is one very simple way of taking control away from politicians and media who lack courage, and putting it back into our hands to show our numbers. It's about restoring our constitution, returning our rights - Habeas Corpus, Free Speech, the end of Torture agenda, Guantanamo, and war crimes for profit. If you make extras, you can send them to us at PO Box 710426, Oak Hill VA 20171.

5. Make and distribute copies of this DVD, and / or E mail your friends, co-workers and neighbors with this link: http://www.peaceandaccountability.com/panel6_23_07.html. and a link to this page: http://www.peaceandaccountability.com/takeaction.html.

6. If you're in the D.C. area, attend and invite your friends and neighbors to attend the next Town Hall meeting, this time on Congressional Accountability: 20 Oct 2007 (Saturday) at George Mason University, watch our site for details.
